WHOLE UK TOWNS MAY SHUT DOWN IF CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK GROWS

Daily Mail - Public Health England has refused to rule out the possibility of shutting down entire towns and communities if a coronavirus outbreak takes hold in the UK. Medical director Professor Paul Cosford said authorities have to be 'cautious' about the idea but that, if the virus started to spread quickly, the government would 'take actions to isolate more widely'. Thousands of Britons now face coronavirus screening amid fears the number of infections on UK soil could 'explode' after a 'worst case' government report predicted 80 per cent of the population could catch it.
