Four Seasons, which has 253 residential and nursing care homes, serves about 17,000 residents and patients, employing roughly 20,000 staff. It is the biggest administration in the care home sector since Southern Cross collapsed in 2011. Professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal has been appointed to handle the administration of two of the business's holding companies that carry its debt.
